I’m the co-founder of Veltman Strategic Consulting, where I specializes in working with small public companies (under 50 employees) and private professional service firms. After semi-retiring in 2007 from the success of my first venture, I turned my attention to the factors that influence success and failures in small organizations (both public and private), specifically the inability of most firms to adequately define or implement their strategic goals.
I started this blog to help bring some sanity back to the concept of “Strategic Planning.” It’s a catch-all term that’s often used to obfuscate responsibility or to justify bone-headed moves – “Oops, that didn’t work. Time to change the strategy!” – when it should be the bedrock of a business & the foundation against which any plans/tactics are measured.
